Own Time ("we," "us," or "our") is a personal productivity app that helps
you track the time you spend on your own projects. This policy explains
what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Own
Time to respect your time and your data. We never sell your
personal information.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email address, used to create and secure your account.
- Your activity data — the tasks, time sessions, goals, and milestones you create in the app.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active free trial or paid subscription, so we can unlock premium features.
- Device push token — an anonymous identifier used only to deliver the notifications you opt into.
How we use your information
- To run your account and sync your data across your devices.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To send push notifications (reminders, streak alerts, and milestone celebrations) that you have turned on. You can turn these off any time in Settings.
- To keep the app secure and to diagnose and fix problems.
Service providers we work with
We share the minimum data needed with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication (stores your account and activity data).
- RevenueCat — subscription management and receipt validation.
- Apple — processes your subscription payment through In-App Purchase. We never see your card details.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device.
We do not use any advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data at any time from Settings → Delete My Account. This permanently removes your profile, tasks, time sessions, goals, and milestones from our database.
- Control notifications from Settings → Push Notifications, or in your device's system settings.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us at the address below.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete
your account, your personal data is removed from our systems. Some
records may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten.
Children's privacy
Own Time is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last
updated" date above and, when appropriate, notify you in the app.
